We have 4 Training Programs covreing 2 Seasons over the course of an 8 month period.

  • Winter Season (October thru January)
    • Carlsbad Half (or Similar) Marathon
  • Spring Season (January thru June)
    • La Jolla Half and/or Rock n Roll Half or Full
  • Dual Extended Season (October thru June)
    • Includes both Winter Season (Carlsbad) + Spring Season (La Jolla and/or RnR)
  • Summer Season (June thru August) via our partners, Run San Diego

1. Training Program for Carlsbad / Winter Races Half Marathon

A regular 12-15 week Training Program starting on 10/31/11 (First group run = 11/01/11) for one of the "winter" races listed below:

** We train primarily for the Carlsbad Half marahton but due to it's popularity, it sells out very fast (usually before we even start training) so alot of runners will compete in a race in the area around the same time.

2. DUAL Training Program for Carlsbad/Winter AND Rock-n-Roll Half or Full Marathons

An extended 32 week training program starting on 10/31/11 (First Group Run = 11/1/11) for the races listed below:

** The La Jolla Half marathon race is optional during the Dual Program. Many simply do the Carlsbad Half Marathon, continue on to the Rock n Roll Half/Full while skipping La Jolla.

*NOTE: Due to the shortened training period (11 weeks) The LJ Half Marathon Training Program is designed for intermediate/advanced runners that have some running experience.  There is no "Beginner - Run/Walk" program.  Those with NO running experience should review their experience and current fitness levels before joining.  This is different than the Winter Carlsbad Half Marathon program which does have a beginner - run/walk component with it.

4. Training Program for Rock-n-Roll Half or Full Marathon (w/ LJ Half Training)

An 18 Week Training Program starting on Monday, 1/30/12 (First Group Run = 1/31/12) for

The 18 week schedule includes training for the RnR HALF or FULL marathons - you choose. Also during this training, we run the La Jolla Half Marathon as an interim race.
